Sitecore AI URL Update Explained: Transition to app.sitecorecloud.io
Published: 8 April 2026

Starting April 8, SitecoreAI has officially moved to a unified URL, here's everything you need to know.
What Changed?
Sitecore has made an important change to how you access SitecoreAI. As part of their ongoing effort to unify frontend applications, the application URL has been updated:
Old URL: https://xmapps.sitecorecloud.io (legacy — no longer primary)
New URL: https://app.sitecorecloud.io (active — update your bookmarks!) The official URL update notification from SitecoreAI:

How to Access SitecoreAI with the New URL
Accessing your SitecoreAI environment is straightforward. Follow the three steps below:
Step 1 — Open the New URL & Select Environment
Navigate to https://app.sitecorecloud.io in your browser. You will see a list of all your available environments. Select the environment you wish to work in to proceed.

Step 2 — Session Authentication
Once your environment is selected, the platform displays a "Welcome" screen and begins securing your session. The progress bar shows the authentication status in real time. No additional login steps are needed — the Cloud Portal handles everything seamlessly.

Step 3 — Your Environment is Ready!
After authentication completes, your full SitecoreAI environment opens at the new URL. You have complete access to Strategy, Channels, Design, Content, Performance, Agentic, and Settings — exactly as before. Notice the address bar now shows app.sitecorecloud.io confirming the migration is complete.

Will This Break Anything?
The short answer is: No. Sitecore has confirmed that:
- Your services and data remain completely unaffected.
- The legacy URL (xmapps.sitecorecloud.io) remains available during a transition period.
- Authentication continues through the Cloud Portal — no change in login flow.
- All teams and customers are unaffected by this change.
What Should You Do?
- Update your bookmarks to https://app.sitecorecloud.io
- Share this update with your team members who regularly access SitecoreAI.
- Update any CI/CD pipelines or automation scripts that reference the old URL.
Why Is Sitecore Making This Change?
This URL consolidation is part of Sitecore's broader strategy to unify all frontend applications under a single, consistent domain. Moving to app.sitecorecloud.io streamlines the developer and user experience by providing one canonical entry point for the entire Sitecore Cloud ecosystem.
